Andrews Elementary-Nestled among the mountains of a picturesque rural community of Western North Carolina, Andrews Elementary is one of the largest pre-K through 5th-grade elementary schools in Cherokee County averaging about 380 students.

Andrews Middle School-Located in the beautiful mountains of Western Carolina, Andrews Middle School offers a variety of fall, winter and spring athletics for student involvement.

Andrews High School– AHS offers a full selection of required courses as well as five areas of vocational courses and four arts departments.  There are 12 sports programs, 22 sports teams, several clubs and student organizations.

Hiwassee Dam Elementary , Middle School, and Hiwassee Dam High School,Hiwassee Dam Elementary/Middle School is a small, community school nestled in the southwestern North Carolina mountains on picturesque Hwy 294.  It is a school filled with highly dedicated and caring teachers who actively support their students and the learning process.

Peachtree Elementary School, Peachtree Elementary is ranked as one of the top elementary schools in Cherokee County. We are a growing school with a current enrollment of 168 students in grades Pre-Kindergarten through Fifth.

Marble Elementary School– Marble Elementary school offers grades PK through 5th. Located at 2230 Airport rd, Marble NC.

Martins Creek School– Martins Creek School sits amid a picturesque 61-acre campus. It serves grades Pre-K through 8 and is known as community/family-oriented school. Martins Creek School has earned much recognition: North Carolina School of Excellence, Top 25 Schools in North Carolina, School of Exemplary Growth, and one of the Top 100 Wired Schools in the nation by PC Magazine.

Mountain Youth School, Cherokee County’s only alternative middle/high school, Mountain Youth School offers students a unique learning experience and tailored support network that equips them to succeed – both in school and in life. Centrally located between the Andrews, Murphy, and Hiwassee Dam communities, our campus in Martins Creek serves middle and high school students from all over the county who benefit from personalized education, and have been unsuccessful in the traditional school setting.

Murphy Elementary School-The vision of Murphy Elementary School is to enrich the lives of our community’s children by providing guidance through challenging and diverse learning experiences in a safe, nurturing, and respectful environment where parents and community support are linked to student success.

Murphy Middle School and Murphy High School Located within the city limits, both schools share a campus. While striving to become a North Carolina School of Excellence,  both Murphy Middle and High are committed to providing an educational environment conducive to each student’s intellectual, physical and social growth.​

Ranger Elementary & Middle School– Located in the beautiful mountain region of western North Carolina, Ranger Elementary/Middle School is one of 14 schools that make up the Cherokee County School District.   Ranger Elementary/Middle School is a Title 1 school and 1 of only 47 PreK-8 schools in North Carolina.   Currently, the student population is 337 students.  Ranger is a small rural school that serves as the hub for the Ranger community.

Tri County Community College-Tri-County Community College is an accredited, comprehensive, public-supported, two-year, post-secondary institution, which operates in accordance with North Carolina Law and the administrative Policies of the North Carolina Community College System. Located in the westernmost tip of North Carolina, the College serves commuter students in a remote, rural area consisting of Cherokee, Clay, and Graham Counties by providing college transfer, vocational, technical, and adult education programs.
